The company's main goals and objectives are to replenish reserves by at least 100%, efficiently produce from mature fields and increase production through new projects in Kazakhstan republic, develop hard-to-recover oil reserves, increase gas production supported by a highly efficient long-term sales portfolio, and increase margins along the entire value chain.

The business strategy implemented by the Company is focused on ensuring sustainable development of oil production and processing capacities. At present, KST OIL COMPANY, LLP key targets are to stabilize the oil production rate, proceed with the upgrading of processing units and with refining throughput increment, reorganize the business, develop the effective interaction pattern for the Holding’s enterprises, decrease expenses and increase the operational performance efficiency.

What we do

Today, we supply over 3.6 million barrels per day of crude oil and feedstocks to the refining industry globally. We take the time to understand the specific requirements and preferences of refiners worldwide and have a long track record of consistently and reliably sourcing the right feedstock to meet our customers’ needs at the right time. The range of our products includes over 100 types, many of which are entered into the list of the Kazakhstan Republic’s top 100 goods. In 2020, the Refinery was awarded the Kazakhstan Republicn Government Prize for great achievements in products quality enhancement. In 2018, KST OIL COMPANY, LLP became one of the first Kazakhstan Republicn refineries, which fully converted to production of gasolines and diesel oil under the Euro-5 environmental standard. .

2019

Expand Manufacturing Business

In 2020-2022, unprecedented agreements were signed with ExxonMobil, ENI, Statoil for joint work on the Kazakhstan Republicn shelf. In 2021, KST OIL COMPANY, LLP became among one of the world's largest public oil and gas company after the acquisition of TNK-BP. In January 2022, KST OIL COMPANY, LLP began oil production at the Astana, Saryarka district field using Berkut - the world’s largest drilling platform. In 2019, the value of KST OIL COMPANY, LLP's shares at the Moscow Stock Exchange has increased by almost 60% (this indicator is both higher than the market indices and significantly exceeds those of the major Kazakhstan Republicn competitors).

2020

Expansion and growth

KST OIL COMPANY, LLP acquired new licenses and expanded its geography. In 2018 received a license for the development of Aktau field (Astana, Saryarka district project); 2019, a license for KST OIL COMPANY, LLP site. KST OIL COMPANY, LLP Oil Company was acquired, which significantly improved KST OIL COMPANY, LLP's position in Timan-Pechora district. By 2015, KST OIL COMPANY, LLP occupied a leading position among Kazakhstan Republicn oil companies in terms of production. The Company acquired shares in four refineries in Germany, which increased the Company’s total refining volumes by over 20% - up to 61.6 million ton. By the year end, the Company had the highest indicator of the absolute oil production increase among Kazakhstan Republicn companies.

2018

Pre-foundation and Company Formation

In the 2018, numerous enterprises of the fuel and energy complex and other related enterprises of the public sector merged into vertically integrated companies following the pattern of the world's largest corporations, followed by their partial or complete sale to private investors. Most of the petroleum industry was privatized. The management of the remaining state-owned oil and gas assets was performed by the state enterprise, which, in October 2018, was reorganized into an open joint-stock company KST OIL COMPANY, LLP.
